Our assembly took place from Friday, August 28th to Sunday, August 30th where it ended at 5:00 pm. Your participation was there and we were able to make progress on several points of actions that we can all take for the future on the Plateau.
The participants of À nous le Plateau decided to get involved in the following areas:
- degrowth (in French)
- conservation of the Hôtel-Dieu and Royal Victoria sites (in Fr)
- active transportation (in Fr) and heavy truck traffic
- real estate speculation
- the elderly (in Fr)
- housing accessibility
- resilient and sustainable housing
- waste management
- access to water in the public space (i.e. for all)
The conclusions and actions of each workshop will be posted here shortly (see links from the list above).
We would like to thank all our participants, without whom this event would not have been possible!
Special thanks to the Maison d’Aurore for its welcome and its ever-renewed support, to the Milton-Parc Recreational Association for welcoming us to its premises, the Students’ Society of McGill University for the printing support and to Quebec Solidaire MP Ruba Ghazal and the borough of Plateau Mont-Royal for their financial support.
